The New School for Music Study was founded in 1960 by Frances Clark and Louise Goss under the philosophy that "there is music in every child." Annual Plow Pulling Contest, Howell Farm, 70
Woodens Lane, Hopewell Township, NJ. A dozen teams of draft animals from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York are entered in the match, which tests the performance of farmers, their horses and oxen. Members of the general public, including youngsters, can win ribbons by plowing in visitor classes beginning at 10:30 a.m. Classes are for ages 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, and 16 & up. No experience is necessary. Trophies and ribbons will be presented to winners of all classes at 1:30 p.m.

Historic Stony Brook: Gateway to Princeton History, Historical Society of Princeton, Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road, Princeton. Before there was a “Princeton,” six Quaker families established a community on the fertile ground along Stony Brook. This two-hour hike explores the lives of the early settlers and the community they established while following a portion of the trail George Washington took from Trenton to the Princeton Battlefield. Stops include the Stony Brook Meeting House and Burial Ground, walking a portion of the “hidden” back road into Princeton, and a view of the Battlefield.
